                Angled Breast Pumping Flanges with Anti-Plugged Duct Design


Today’s leading breast pump flanges force most women to sit straight up or lean forward when pumping, which may be very uncomfortable.  Pumpin’ Pal ^tm has created an Angled Flange so moms can now sit back and pump in a more relaxed, and comfortable position.

You will notice when looking at our Sit Back Flange that when we angled it the hard "ring", found at the base of the funnel shape, went away -- alleviating much of the "nipple trauma" so many women today experience when pumping.  Because our Super Shields were designed without the  internal “ring” through which the nipple is pulled during a pump session and our design is graduated and smooth (compare the inside of ours with any traditional flange to see the difference), our Super Shields fit a range of nipple diameters:  Original/Medium – 23-29mm, Large – 29-35mm, and Xlarge – 35mm+.  

Working with moms, we found that to achieve correct sizing, it's truly dependent on mom's breastshape and internal design (including elsaticity).  Therefore, mom's bra/cup size may be a better starting pint when determining which size of Super Shield to recommend: 

34-38 B/C - Medium
36-40 C/D = Large
38-40 D+ = X-Large

As is typical with lactation issues, customized and personalized fits are the best methods.  In our experience, many larger-breasted women whose nipples measure in the 23-29 mm range find they are more comfortable and produce more milk when using our Large Super Shield.  The same is true for our X-Large as well.  As with any flange fitting, watching a mom pump is the most effective way to correctly size our Super Shield, regardless of nipple diameter.
