Here you will find listings of LGBTQ friendly providers around the world.  We have listings for Lactation and Birth Professionals, Body Workers (Chiropractors, CranioSacral Therapists, Osteopaths, Massage Therapists, etc),  HCPs (Dr.s, Dentists, Pediatricians), Mental Health professionals and Legal Counsel.   If you fall into one of these groups please fill out our resource form (link below)!  If you know of someone who is LGBTQ Friendly and would like to be listed - refer them to the link below!

I want to thank those care providers who have taken the time to let me know that they are out there for my community.  This means so much to me!

A list of definitions:


Many of the providers in this database have a veritable 'alphabet soup' after their name and that can be confusing.  Here is a list of many of those credentials and what they mean.

IBCLC
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant - Several thousand hours of required study, education and training culminating in a once per year international exam to become credentialed.   Re-certification required every 5 years.  Trained clinicians who perform evaluations, assessments and work with the healthcare team.  Work  hands on with all breastfeeding challenges as well as complex issues. (specialties and extra training may vary - ask questions!)

RLC - Registered Lactation Consultant - (used in conjunction with IBCLC)

CLE
- Certified Lactation Educator - 45 hour course of education - culminates in a certificate of completion - trained to teach breastfeeding classes and answer basic breastfeeding questions.  Refers out to IBCLC for more complex cases - not trained for hands on consults.
 
CLC - Certified Lactation Counselor - 45 hour course of education - culminates in a certificate of completion - trained to counsel on normal breastfeeding situations.  Refers out to IBCLC for more complex cases - not trained for hands on consults.

BC - Breastfeeding Counselor (with Breastfeeding USA)
- Training in normal breastfeeding situations and when to refer out to IBCLC support.  Offers mom to mom support.   Support groups now forming around the country.

LLLL - La Leche League Leader - Training in normal breastfeeding situations and when to refer out to IBCLC support.  Offers mom to mom support.  Monthly support groups in most areas.

CBE - Childbirth Educator

CCE - Certified Childbirth Educator

CM - Certified Midwife

CNM - Certified Nurse Midwife

LM - Licensed Midwife

CPM - Certified Professional Midwife

PCD(DONA) - Postpartum Certified Doula (through DONA)


RN - Registered Nurse
